Brad Comments on Fatherhood and the “Picture Deal”

Brad Pitt seems to be all over the place these days, Elle, Newsweek, TV, tabloids, you name it. This also gives us a chance to learn a bit more about Brad the person rather than the actor we all learned to love.
In a recent interview with Newsweek, Brad chose to comment on the criticism which was expressed regarding the sale of his new baby Shiloh Nouvel’s pictures. On the sale of the pictures he told Newsweek:
“Knowing that someone was going to hound us for that first photo - and was going to profit immensely for doing it - I just couldn’t live with it. We were able to turn that around and collect millions for people who are really going to need it. It’s the first time I’ve actually felt like we have some degree of control over it (the media attention).”
He then commented on fatherhood, which he’s been experiencing first hand first with Angelina’s kids Zahara and Maddox, and now with their new baby, Shiloh:
“Whether you have them or adopt them, they’re all blood. And the funniest people I’ve ever met.”
“It’s absolutely sublime.”
He accompanied Jolie when she picked up Zahara from an Ethiopian orphanage last year.
He says, “I look at Zahara and imagine what her life could have been.”
“You want to grab as many of these kids in your arms as you can. They need our help, and we should be doing more.”
